Keeping Smiles Healthy

Your First Visit

Before your first appointment, you will have already received your new patient packet to be completed online. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a friendly receptionist who will guide you through the check-in process. From there, a dental hygienist will lead you to the exam room where X-rays and intraoral photographs will be taken; they will also assess your gum health. Then the dentist will come in and review everything that has been discussed so far and also go over any treatment needs that you might have.

Cosmetic Dentistry

What is cosmetic dentistry, and how is it different from general dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of your teeth, gums, and overall smile. While general dentistry emphasizes oral health, cosmetic dentistry combines aesthetics with functionality to give you a healthy smile that looks natural and beautiful.

What cosmetic dentistry services does Dr. Lippian provide in Texarkana?

At Lippian Family Dentistry, patients can benefit from professional teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, cosmetic bonding, dental crowns, and full smile makeovers. Each service is tailored to individual needs to deliver lasting and natural-looking results.

How long does teeth whitening at Lippian Family Dentistry last?

Professional whitening results vary depending on lifestyle and oral hygiene but typically last six months to two years. Avoiding stain-causing foods, beverages, and tobacco can help extend results.

Are porcelain veneers permanent?

Porcelain veneers are a long-term solution, lasting 10 to 15 years with proper care. They may eventually need replacement but offer one of the most durable cosmetic options available.

Is cosmetic dentistry painful?

Most cosmetic procedures are minimally invasive, and Dr. Lippian uses modern techniques and gentle care to ensure patients remain comfortable throughout treatment.

Can cosmetic dentistry improve my oral health?

Yes. Many cosmetic treatments also enhance function. For example, properly aligned teeth are easier to clean, and restorations like veneers or crowns can strengthen damaged teeth while improving aesthetics.

How much does cosmetic dentistry cost at Lippian Family Dentistry?

The cost depends on the type and complexity of the treatment. During your consultation, Dr. Lippian will provide a personalized estimate based on your needs and goals.

Do cosmetic procedures require multiple visits?

Some treatments, like whitening, can be completed in a single visit, while veneers, crowns, or smile makeovers may require two or more appointments. Dr. Lippian will design a schedule that works best for you.

Who is a good candidate for cosmetic dentistry?

Anyone unhappy with their smile’s appearance can benefit. Patients should have healthy gums and teeth as a foundation before cosmetic work. Dr. Lippian ensures oral health issues are addressed first.

Why choose Lippian Family Dentistry in Texarkana for cosmetic dentistry?

Dr. Lippian combines years of experience with advanced technology and a personalized approach, ensuring patients in Texarkana and surrounding communities like Nash, Wake Village, and Hooks receive exceptional results.

What is restorative dentistry?

Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing or replacing damaged or missing teeth to restore proper function, health, and appearance.

What restorative services are available at Lippian Family Dentistry in Texarkana?

Dr. Lippian provides dental implants, crowns, bridges, fillings, dentures, and root canal therapy, all designed to restore teeth while ensuring natural aesthetics.

How do dental implants compare to dentures?

Implants are permanent replacements for missing teeth that function like natural teeth, while dentures are removable and may require adjustments over time. Both are offered at Lippian Family Dentistry depending on patient needs.

Are restorative treatments painful?

Modern techniques and local anesthesia ensure comfort during procedures. Most patients report minimal discomfort, and Dr. Lippian’s gentle approach helps create a stress-free experience.

How long do dental crowns or bridges last?

With proper oral hygiene and routine checkups, crowns and bridges can last 10 to 15 years or longer.

What materials are used for fillings and crowns at Lippian Family Dentistry?

Dr. Lippian uses tooth-colored composite fillings and porcelain crowns for a natural appearance that blends seamlessly with surrounding teeth.

How soon can I return to normal activities after restorative treatment?

Most patients can resume regular activities the same day, although complex procedures like implants may require short healing periods.

Can restorative dentistry improve chewing and speaking ability?

Yes. Restorative treatments not only rebuild teeth but also improve function, making it easier to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Is restorative dentistry covered by insurance?

Many restorative treatments, such as fillings, crowns, and dentures, are partially covered by dental insurance. Lippian Family Dentistry works with patients to maximize benefits.

Why do patients in Texarkana and surrounding areas choose Dr. Lippian for restorative dentistry?

Because Dr. Lippian provides personalized, compassionate care, ensuring every patient receives high-quality restorations that restore health, function, and natural beauty to their smiles.
